Property Commerce has developed more than 80 shopping centers. Property Commerce has been involved as developer and/or broker in over 43 Target anchored shopping centers and 52 Home Depot anchored shopping centers.

History of Success.

For over 48 years Property Commerce has built a strong, continually evolving shopping center development and investment organization complemented by its property management, leasing and brokerage teams.

1976

Property Commerce began evolving as a real estate development and investment organization, growing through its property management, leasing, construction management management and brokerage operations.

1985

Property Commerce developed their first Target anchored shopping center in Sugar Land, Texas, developing two more locations that same year. Since then, there have been 43 developments, the most recent being in Katy, Texas, which opened in 2021. Several more are expected in the next 24-36 months.

1998

Property Commerce developed their first Home Depot anchored shopping center in Conroe, Texas, developing three more that same year. In 2004, as many as 8 stores opened. Since the beginning of the relationship, there have been 50 developments.

2000

Property Commerce took part in the South Main revitalization project with the development Stadium Shopping Center, Houston, Texas. Anchored by Super Target, it was mentioned in the Houston Chronicle to be a big step in generating new growth on South Main.

2003

Target Stores honored Property Commerce with a Vendor Award of Excellence.

2006

Target awarded Property Commerce the Outstanding Developer Award. By that time, there had been 24 developments.

2007

The Houston Business Journal recognized Property Commerce with the Landmark Award for the exceptional retail development of Sawyer Heights Village.

2013

Property Commerce created the Dividend Fund, acquiring 14 shopping centers. There are 20 centers in their portfolio to date.

2017

Property Commerce was honored to develop a new Target prototype in Richmond, Texas. This was a completely redesigned store that was a part of a major turnaround effort involving remodeling hundreds of stores nationwide. Shoppers were excited to visit Target in the Market Center at Aliana. The store featured departments such as jewelry, accessories and beauty, along with a CVS and Starbucks.

Having developed over 40 million square feet of retail space across 39 cities and 8 states, our in-house construction team excels in project supervision, cost estimation, and quality control. Property Disposition

Our proven track record in property sales includes transactions with major buyers like Exxon, McDonald’s, and Wal-Mart.
